Passive House
An energy efficient passive house, with a northerly orientation, utilising the insulated polished concrete floor to moderate the temparatures during winter for warmth, and summer for cooling, along with a high level of insulation in the walls and ceiling, to achieve a very comfortable house all year round. In the winter visitors to the home ask "have you got the heaters on?", but the warm is just that stored in the thermal mass of the floor slab.
